Hello chaps, I am a little out of touch with what turbos people are running these days. I know technology has moved on since I had my engine built by MED all those years ago, and I had to retain the stock turbo for race regs so never looked into it.

For my current project I have a spare MG Metro turbo 1275 that needs a rebore, looks like it should bore ok to 1293, but the car it's going into has a fibreglass bulkhead, so I'd be looking at a smaller turbo and manifold, or mounting it over the gearbox.

With that in mind, are there any off the shelf manifolds available ? And what turbo to look for

Cheers

Merv

Matt at fusion fabrications does manifolds to suit the GT17 from the saab 95, or failing that he can do something custom

Merv - check out my build thread (link in my signature block), i'm using a GT17 from a saab 9-5 and a Fusion Fabric manifold. With a bit of work i've got around 8mm clearance between the turbo and the bulkhead.
