Hi, Ive just bought a 1976 1275GT to fill my spare time.

Its in fairly good order, couple of patches in the floor and at some point has new outer sill replaced / added.

It also has a fiber glass flip front which will be replaced back to original over the next couple of months.

I expect a respray of whole car back to original Blaze as the orange its been painted with now is not right (and not a great job)

I will be looking for lots of advise, starting with the holes in bottom of companion bins!! and where to source the grey stripped material for the seats.

Welcome to the forum, have you any pictures because we all like pictures.  :proud:  You need to create an account in imgur.com and copy them into your thread.

One of the best bits of advice I can give you is to become a TMF+ member. It only costs £5 and entitles you to discounts from various suppliers including 7.5% off Minispares, more importantly, it supports the forum as well.

Its good to see another GT being restored especially a Blaze coloured one.

welcome! looking forward to seeing the car and the progress.

sounds like you found a decent car there and you seem to be doing the right thing by wanting to put it back to original, good luck.

Plenty of advice here so fire away with any questions.

The holes in the bottom of the companion bins sound like the inner sills or possibly the closing panels that sit in front of the rear arch tubs.

As for the seat fabric, you may not have much luck finding that anymore. Your best bet would be to set up a notification on eBay for a set of replacement seats so that you are notified if and when they become available.

Good luck!

Ben

Right lets see if I can make images appear here before I start my topic in the project section.

  1. Photos up loaded to Imgur
  2. Select Picture in Imgur
  3. Right Click Copy Image location
  4. Paste into Forum

I'm up and running on the pic front

Option 3 to add the pics in post and option 1 or 2 if only a link is required.

@Moderators whats the preferred option?  Does either take up more space?

The last option of pasting the BB code into your thread is the best way
