I've retro-fitted a correct year Rover radio cassette player to my 95 to keep things period. All my 80's tapes have a new lease of life.

Yes, the pre-97 R660s say 'ROVER' on the tape flap. Post-97 have the Mini wings.

My 89 had a newer radio when I bought it. I've managed to get a c.1991 Rover radio/tape for it, not quite the right one but close enough and it's been fun digging out all the 1990s tapes again.

Mine is a very early MPI, but has the Rover logo - must have been at the change-over point. Keep meaning to put it on the classifieds if anyone is looking for one.

My brochure has the mini logo. I have bought the same radio a r660 however it's rover. I just can't find a mini logo one anywhere and the next best thing was a rover r660

Jordy,

I have one that I took from my 97 car (rover logo) if it's of any interest to you. Was working when I removed it.

There's one on ebay starting at a fiver, and no bids so I don't see any real value in it. Happy for you to have it if you pay for postage. I might just be a bit slow at packaging it up. PM me.

Sportpack wheels and arches are long gone when I had the initial clear out I'm afraid.

my 1998 mini had some aftermarket unit in. After looking at the head units I went with one out of an R50 (new) mini - removed the tabs and it looks just like the R660 (well almost) I then added a dennison module so I could use it for bluetooth music from my phone so it looks right for the car and works well.
