Door Skin Advice

It appears that my mini door skins have been very badly fitted. This is so bad that there is a 1 cm gap in the middle of the door where they have bowed out causing water to pour into the car. Could anyone tell me roughly how much it costs to get doors reskinned?

I`m afraid price wise its how long is a piece of string but what I can tell you is a door that is correctly sealed behind the door cards will not leak water into the car even if there was a 2 cm gap so I would start by popping off the door cards and go from there.
Obviously check that you have the three drainage holes in the bottom of the door as well.

I did mention in your first post that you maybe able to gently close that up. Take both weather seals off and remove the glass. Now gently press in the centre of the skin right at the top, work your way along both ways and gently being the operative word here and you may find that gap will close up. I have tweaked skins before with this method and succeeded.

Did this on my brothers, had the same bow in them.

Bear in mind as well that the door seal to the glass isn't intended to keep all the water out, it is a part of the design that water gets in and then runs out the bottom.
Obviously the less gap the better but as above you need to pop off the door card and check that all the holes into the door are sealed, also check that the holes in the bottom are clear.
To seal the inside of the door I use grey gaffa tape, where you go over mechanisms that need to move I put a piece across that has the none sticky side to the mechanism and then put tape across this at 90 degrees if you see what I mean.
