Hi

Im trying to refurb my stinky old mini seats. I dont like the quality that you get from the common shops so i decided to make everithing step by step by myself.

I try to give them a more sporty note and a nicer look.

I never made this before... :shades: And i have no experience with upholstery stuff... it's getting interesting.

Perfect job when there is this freezing temperature in the garage.

First i removed all the old dirty foam and cleaned the frame with the wirebrush.

After a respray of the frame i made a new foam.

And then i made all the parts from the seat with alcantara

Litte bit of stiching. green thread for a nice finish...

And first part installed.

Im quite happy with the first try. looks so much better and smells like heaven. :-)

Next ist the back part...but this look much more difficult.

Well done. I'm thinking about doing this but with faux leather.

I admire your bravery, well done  .... only the rear seat to do now!

If any of the chequer pattern part is still usable don't throw that section away  -houndstooth fabric is hard to find & there's many City E owners that could use the fabric to repair their seats.
