Guessworks has an excellent ratio calculator on his website so if you know your expected sweet spot in the revs department see where it takes you,
3.44:1 would be my personal choice as i wouldn't want to spoil the fun by over gearing it as it will be good for 100 mph at 6000 revs which is 30 mph more than you are allowed on the public highway

Thanks for all the help, i think I'm going to run a 3.2 as i have managed to get hold of a 1275 so will be running a bit more torque/BHP. I'm going to take it to 1310 with a calver tuning stage 3 head, omega pistons, 8-10 PSI, and will be run on uprated standard ignition until i can afford a megajolt ignition system.
