Hi all, i am currently building a supercharged 998 build using the bini eaton M45, stage three calver tuning head and a modest cam. With this engine i shall be running 10" wheels and was wondering what recommendations people had as regards to diff ratio which will make use of the extra torque from the supercharger. I dont do massive motorway miles however i dont want to be screaming it to do 70, im looking for a good all rounder. I was thinking around 3.1?? Any suggestions?

Cheers, Ollie

Guessworks has an excellent  ratio calculator on his website so if you know your expected sweet spot in the revs department see where it takes you,

3.44:1 would be my personal choice as i wouldn't want to spoil the fun by over gearing it as it will be good for 100 mph at 6000 revs which is 30 mph more than you are allowed on the public highway  ;D

Have you any idea how much torque it'll develop?

Thanks for all the help, i think I'm going to run a 3.2 as i have managed to get hold of a 1275 so will be running a bit more torque/BHP. I'm going to take it to 1310 with a calver tuning stage 3 head, omega pistons, 8-10 PSI, and will be run on uprated standard ignition until i can afford a megajolt ignition system.
