Hi Guys,

My coolant has leaked due to a faulty heater valve. I've topped it up with water for now but obviously needs the correct antifreeze. All I know is that its a pinky colour (see pictures). I know Rover changed the coolant type at the end of production. Any ideas? If not how do I go about flushing it through to replace it with a different brand.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

Thanks. Would you recommend flushing it through anyway before adding the antifreeze

always worth a flush through as heaters and heater pipes suffer on these cars

from the manual.

UNIPART SUPERPLUS 3 ANTI-FREEZE AND
SUMMER COOLANT

If this is not available, use an ethylene glycol based
anti-freeze, containing no methanol with
non-phosphate corrosion inhibitors suitable for use
in mixed metal engines to ensure the protection of
the cooling system against frost and corrosion.

superplus 3 is NLA

That is correct, however, Unipart sells a similar product https://unipartautos...e-5-litres.html

Colour doesn't mean much these days. You certainly cannot use the colour to identify what type of coolant it is.
