There is a grey Morris Cooper on Ebay with a buy it now of £5,800. The details are sketchy to say the least and a check of the sellers other items for sale shows a wide range of classic cars and bikes, all photographed in different locations (none of which is the sellers address given)all listed at the same time with identical wording. Somewhat suspicious!!!

Yes I rang them, there had been over a hundred items listed - cars, bikes, even boats! Luckily it wasn't a very sophisticated attempt - with a higher price and some credible detail it could have succeeded - just shows if it looks too good to be true...

I've got the seller of all that stuff saved, it's been listed over and over for weeks now with different hacked accounts, "selling on behalf of his uncle", eBay only remove the reported items rather than the seller.

Same batch of cars relisted over and over on hacked accounts. Must be catching people out else they wouldnt bother?

As been said before they have been doing this for months . Can’t see why eBay can’t stop it there must be a link to them somehow?

I've had a notification of new items listed by this idiot! I might email him just to waste his time, he won't reply via ebay.

There was also GoPro hero 3's supposedly refurbished in the US being sold on eBay.co.uk for £10 delivered. EBay subsequently removed the listing due to the account being hacked.

More and more often I'm seeing fake adverts - they usually follow the same format re the classic cars but the go pro one was of a very high standard.

and you may actually contact the real account holder and not the scammers. as often the accounts are hacked.

it is basically a business run out of Romanian  there are a bunch of people doing what they can to get Ebay and Gumtree to react faster https://www.facebook...oups/GroupEVSA/
