I have a brand new old stock carb body which has AUC1344 cast into the body under where the dashpot fits.

does anyone know what it is for?

The casting number really just indicates the very basic spec like the side the fuel bowl is on and what size carb it is.

The tag on the float bowl indicates the original spec - needle, spring etc

If you know the needle and spring you could possibly determine the original vehicle is was destined for, otherwise you can obviously change them to whatever you need.
