So what are we suggesting for the gear bush? Some saying minispares are fine? Floating or non floating? Its hard to say

So what are we suggesting for the gear bush? Some saying minispares are fine? Floating or non floating? Its hard to say

 

A few ways to look at it and if I can, I'll suggest this in order to consider the issues.

 

You can use a Factory bush, which is a known quantity, designed OEM by BMC (in conjunction with Deva). Just about every Mini left the factory with one of these.

 

Or, you can try something different, like the Bushes from Mini Spares. Some say they have said success and some say they haven't and of some of these, they've had expensive consequences.

Can you just buy a decent 2nd hand original one? They must be around and in my experience they last forever....
