It'll likely have a 3.44, however Chris, be aware, they are a poor gearbox case, the centre web breaks easy.

Thanks Moke, I only wanted it for the final drive. It'll likely have a 3.44, however Chris, be aware, they are a poor gearbox case, the centre web breaks easy.
Looks like it won’t suit my requirements.

2.9-1 has terrible pinion wear

Is this because of the ratio? Too much drive pressure being put on it due to the longer gearing????2.9-1 has terrible pinion wear
Have you experienced this yourself?

I don't think the genuine ones gave any trouble, but I know many aftermarket ones do.

yes i have experienced this its to do with gear loading and angles n stuff, ended up with a 2.76 with a two ring gear set in my car, because all my 2.9's were worn heavy.
