I fitted a manifold twin Downpipe to original cast 3-2 port manifold on the late (from 1990) Mini Cooper and MG Metros when using HIF44 carburettors.

I first smeared the  joint faces with a little exhaust paste first. I think this was a fitting mistake, what do you think?

You see I have a slight leak there ate idle - (according to the sound)  in spite of careful fitting. I noticed even with the clamps tightened to max, the down pipes could swivel slightly when twisting the lower connecting y-piece - probably no big deal, but have seen tighter on other exhaust systems.
