Was trying to get some Yoko 032 fitted to my 10 inch rims today.
Most places by me would only go as small as a 12 inch diameter rim.
Eventually found a garage back and beyond to fit it , seems to be an ever decreasing market for them I guess.

Lodge tyres do them. They're in Brum but not sure where else they are.

The biggest problem is that they don't know how to change tyres manually with a bar. They also don't know that 10" Mini tyres have to be fitted from the inner face not the outer.

Had the same problem, got a local tyre shop to break the beads!

and I dug out the tyre levers, removed and refitted all five for wheel

painting and as whistler says from the inner face, seen a lot of wrecked

rims back in the day.

Yup, particularly when trying to fit 145x10 to banded steelies.

Just out of interest, I heard a couple of rumours regarding yoko 032's...

1) upcoming changes to MOT rules means they won't be road legal due to the cut pattern that they have.

2) newer batches of the tyres no longer say road tyres (or whatever it says) and now say track only

Anyone know if these are true? Or just a load of BS??

I have 10" wheels with 032's and I'm looking for a new set. I tried to get some at Brooklands but the turn out of traders was very poor. No one selling tyres

It's even tougher over here as the Mini is the only car sold over here in any numbers with 10's, and they stopped importing them in 1967! However, I've found that quite a few quads and side by sides use 10's so you might check out one of the places that service those vehicles.

..forgive my ignorance, but could you explain why they should be fitted that way ?

cheers

This is true for certain tyres, its not BS, and they are clearly stamped on the side wall on the A048 variety for those running 13 x 7 rims.
As these are being fitted to a track car Im Not fussed, however for road cars will be another issue all together .

If you're in the sticks find a place that services quads, ATV and agricultural equipment . Usually great blokes and fit small tyres to stuff all the time

I mounted a set of 008s with motorcycle tire irons and then brought them in to be dynamically balanced. I got really good at it by the fourth one.

Was referring to a set of Yoko A048 I had fitted to my 13 x 7 track rims, didn't see James refers to 032 tyres, my bad.

Tyres need to be fitted from the edge closest to the wheel well, which is the channel that runs around the rim. Failure to do this puts to much stress on the tyre bead and can either damage the bead or the rim as the bead is a hoop of wire that does not stretch. Most cars are fitted from the front, but some deep dish wheels have to be fitted from the rear. In my 20+ years in the trade, I can honestly say that I have had to do this about 10 times in total. No idea why Mini wheels were designed this way.
