Hi all,

Been reading about a previous discussion on steering wheel nut, but there was (I think) no conclusion.

We have bought a new nut, as we thought the old one was not correct, but that wouldn't fit either. The thread on the steering column seems to be finer than the nut.

Suggestion ? Solutions ? Are there nuts available with finer thread ?

Thanks.

I think this nut should be 5/8" x 28 TPI.

To check the thread pitch on your column compare with a 1/4UNF bolt, this is also 28 TPI.
