I'm looking at my options to have the new engine set up later this year and have had recommendations for Tipton Garage, Tipton St John, Devon and Steve Harris (Motorsport?) in Blandford Forum but I saw a post here that he had retired?

I'm based in west Dorset so these are equidistant from me.

Im pretty sure Steve Harris closed down in 2014. He had an auction at his workshop which I attended and sold off most of his parts and cars.

Steve is still trading out of Wilton, Wiltshire so i am told. He uses Janspeed's rolling road to work his magic.
Sigma engineering in Gillingham, Dorset are excellent and set up my engine last year. (I am in Blandford).

Steve has shut his shop and retired as far as I know. Racingbob on here had his mini set up at Janspeed a while back and was impressed, but it wasn't Steve who did it. AC Dodd lives near Salisbury and may be able to help.

Steve is heavily involved with the Downton Engineering Social Club.  We have a show in Downton on 5 May which is well worth coming along to, lots of minis and other classic cars, corresponds with a local street fair.  Unfortunately I cant access the website to pass on anymore details.

That's probably a bit too far - I know Sigma at Gillingham (the Dorset one) has a good reputation as they look after the xk120 of someone I know and Tipton St John Garage race minis and have been recommended - I'd like to keep it local if I can.

sorry knowing how to look after one make of car means nothing and could be really bad. seen it before and had to rescue an A series engine from being murdered.
