Im converting my mini from drums to 7.5 discs and have a couple of options. I can get a genuine pair of Lockheed calipers, discs and drive flanges for an amount similar to a brand new minispares 8.4 to 7.5 conversation.

So whats best?

Get the original calipers and rebuild them with replacements seals and pistons

Or

Buy new minispares calipers

Cheers

I have the replaced mine with Minispares ones and they are fine.  I have kept the old ones and when i get round to it will refurb as aren't that bad.   Refurbishing them self isn't difficult but getting the dust seal on over the piston is a bit tricky.   By the time you buy the kit, get replacement stainless Pistons it isn't far off a new set of Minispares ones.

The original calipers have actually already been rebuilt with ss pistons and new seals so Ive decided to go with them. Also the original equipment appeals to me as far as keeping my build period
