Hello, I'm new to this forum. I only bought my first mini a week ago.

I am now the proud owner of a 1983 mini Mayfair.

I'm quite new to the mini. I have 2 friends who own and restore minis. I'm hoping to restore this mini. And do most of it myself.

Most I've really done on a car is change a manifold and brake pads and disks.

What would you recommend I did my self? and what would you say I would defiantly need a mechanic to do?

Also, how difficult is it to paint a car?

Sorry for all the questions. :)

my name is Kyle and you will probably see a lot more of me on here.

Hi Kyle and welcome to TMF

I'd say if you have friends with mini experience get them to have a good look over your car with you to see if there is anything urgent to target. You could also grab a Haynes manual and start working through the service schedule

With regards to painting you'll find sone great threads for painting alone or as part of people's projects

Have fun with your mini!
