Does anyone know if the Janspeed LCB that was fitted as part of the John Cooper conversion kit to the 1990 Flame, Racing and Checkmate 998 minis was a medium or large bore?

The original Janspeed rear dropped off today and stranded the car. Had to leave it with a friend and need to order something suitable to fit to the Janspeed LCB manifold, but was in such a rush we didn't take measurements or photos.

Any info would be appreciated.

DC.

I could not say specifically, but I would expect it to be the 'standard' size rather than a big bore

A big bore LCB should only be on a big cc tuned engine and would be detrimental all round on a small cc engine, both Janspeed and JC would be fully aware of that.

Thanks retroman. I suspected as much. That's two of us in agreement. Medium bore (1 3/4) ordered up for fitting on Thurs ready for an outing next Sunday 😀
