Well I've finally fitted a CD player into my mini even though I probably won't be able to hear it because of the exhaust! :P

May be a silly qiestion but I hate anything to do with electrics so I better ask!

The speaker wires from the CD player are solid Black and then Black with a White stripe.

The wires on the speakers I want to install (Sony 6x9s) are solid Red and Red with a Black stripe.

Which connect to which?

Thanks!

Won't matter providing you're consistent across however many speakers you link up. So, if you go stripe to stripe, make sure you do that on all of them...

Are you only linking up one speaker?

The black stripe usually denotes the negative, whereas the solid colour usually denotes the positive.

However, read the instructions on your CD players manual (presume you bought new) it will tell you in there, also look at the speakers themselves there will be 2 connectors where the wires connect, the smaller is normally negative. If you look at the wires that came with the speakers there will be 2 sizes of plugs (spade ends) just match up which goes where and you can match that to the H/U wiring...
