Hi all

I have just bought some Kad alloy rear arms, from the picture it looks like they don't have fitted the nylon cups for the knuckle joints.

What's the best way to fit the new nylon cups into the rear arms?

Many thanks

Kevin

the cups are a service part with the knuckle and they come with the knuckle and are just a press fit.

You can buy replacement nylon cups from Minispares without having to buy new knuckles.

The KAD Arms are meant to be used with coil over shocks or something along those lines, hence why they don't have a socket for the knuckle joints. If I recall, the SC ones also don't have a socket either.

Other than to run coil overs, I'm not sure what else to suggest.

they come with the casting to run knuckles and trumpets on both sides you can cut off the one you dont need.

Nick - yes, your right, they do.

Sorry warning 634 for the bum steer on that.

I was likely getting these mixed up with the SC ones or possibly an earlier KAD version ?

Best way to fit the Cups - Grease the outside of them and press them in with your finger.

i am guessing that if you order the KAD arms with the bigger diameter shock mount pins they come without the knuckle mounts as they should be coil only.

when I got mine I got the larger pin ones and they came with the knuckle mount, but looking on the website it lookes like you can now have any combination.

I have ordered a pair of OE spec knuckle joints.

When fitting, is it best to separate the nylon cap from the joint and just push the nylon cap into the arm then refit the joint?

Many thanks

I'd keep them together, its been ages since I done one but i remember the rubber boot being a pain to get on.

also, cheap knucles have rather stiff boots the just dont want to seem to stay on place, but you should be op with OE ones.

Hi Guys

Does anyone know the dimensions (width) of the hole in the rear arm which the nylon cups sits and/or the outside width of the nylon cup?

I went to fit them last night into my Kad arms, and the best way to describe it (as the chaps from bad obsession motorsport - Project Binky put it so nicely) the fit was like a C*ck in a sock

So I'm trying to sort out what's at fault the suspension knuckle or the rear arm?

cheers

I would be asking KAD as they do state that they are a direct replacement.
