Hi all

I have just got the the stage with my mini where it is on the ground with the engine in. I rebuilt all of the front suspension cleaning up all the standard arms and trackrod ends etc however I replaced all the bushes for polly alternatives and put in new cones that are taller than standard.

I have now noticed that the car has several degrees of positive camber when on the ground but none when raised.

Any idea what could be causing it?

Thanks in advance

That sounds a little odd, but before jumping in to it, let it settle and wait until you get a few miles on it first.

If it has too much Toe In or Out and you've been rolling it around the garage, that will make it appear to have camber.

With standard parts and at standard ride height, it should have 1 - 30 of positive camber, however, what's throwing me a bit (and you it seems) is that when raised, it appears to be zero camber.

Just wondering if there's play in the lower arms pins, ball joints or something in the front end?

Thanks for the reply
Yeh I thought it may be toe in but so far from just a visual it looks to be fairly straight.
There isnt any play in anything either so im sure thats not causing an issue.
Its still fairly high at the moment, im going to mess with the high-lows soon to lower it a bit.
Do you think that will sort it?

Yes, certainly lowering it some will introduce more neg camber to it.

Just posting an update in case any one wonders in the future.
I drove around a load recently which really helped settle the cones in and I lowered in just a fraction more and those combined seems to have sorted the camber issue.
