Hi, thanks in advance for any help...

I have an 89 mini with MK1 rear lights.
I've got a problem where my driver's side rear indicator has stopped working. When using a voltmeter there's no voltage going to the wiring when indicators are on. Everything else on the light unit works fine.

Hopefully someone has a few ideas?

Cheers
Shane

If the front drivers side indicator is working, then the problem is likely to be numerous splices found wrapped inside the Minis wiring loom. In modern cars, where one wire needs to go to multiple devices, they use a Comb connector, i.e. 1 wire in, 6 wires out. On the Mini, Rover just crimped the wires together in multiple spots along the loom and wrapped the outer sheath tight.

Unfortunately, there's no way, other than to remove the outer sheath and splay out the loom to get to each splice and check it, or better still cut out the crimp to solder and heat shrink the join.
