Can someone please put up a picture of the hood fixings that are fixed along the top part of the windscreen frame so I have an idea of what to order,Thanks.

The fittings are called Lift a Dot fasteners ... and the ones which are #2 in position on left and right side of top of windscreen are longer than the rest.

The ones down each side of windscreen will be different depending on the year and model of your Moke. They are all attached using rivets.

As SA has said ^ though, the long ones are the 3rd ones from the ends

Short Types

Long Types

These I've posted up aren't genuine Lift the Dot brand, but are arguably better quality and cheaper.

Is there a set pattern for the position of the fixings on the screen frame? I’m fitting a new frame, should I use the old frame as a pattern for the fixing points. Do I wait until I get a hood before I drill the frame?

The trimmers will want all the body hardware fitted when you hand over the Moke for them to do their bit.

I'll put up a drawing tomorrow (our time !), but in the mean time, there is 11 Lit-a-dot posts across the top of the frame, of these, 2 are long and the others all tghe normal short ones. The Long ones are fitted 1 stud in on top, from the ends. These are so that along with the hood, there's also straps that fit to the Posts. The two Straps run from the Windscreen Frame, over the Hood Bows and on to the Rear Panel. Originally, the Straps were screwed to the Hood Bows (Countersunk Self Tapper with Cup Washers) to hold them in the right place, however, I used Pop Rivets as they have a lower Profile.

Sorry I'm only getting around to this now.

This is the layout of the Factory Frame for the Australian 1968 - 1979 Windscreen Frames.

Hopefully it makes some sense !
