The fuel primes fine. And have spark at all 4 plugs
Any other ideas 😅

Like I say I have had it started but it’s so inconsistent something has to be either breaking down or faulty…

Just not sure on next step

Could anyone give me the exact Ht lead order
My seems to think it’s different to how I have it
And looking at images online of MPI minis they vary from 1 on the coil (bottom front) going to either spark plug closet to alternator or brake master cylinder
Any way in on this would be good
Be great to complety rule out firing order

The MPI has a wasted spark ignition system. Which means 2 sparkplugs fire at the same time. There are a number of different ways to wire them up.

Ok guys.

New plugs and found a pic of how the HT leads were originally before rebuild and she starts on first crank a runs sweet

New problem
She over heated within 5 mins
Temp gauge climbed high super quick
Fan did not kick in though
Now she did have coolant say in her for a while last year with zero motion
Any chance the radiator could be blocked?
Doesn’t explain the fan not coming on
But she shouldn’t get that hot that quick
The top coolant hose that passes over the spark plugs was hot
So I’m guessing some coolant is passing through and the pump is doing it’s job etc
But again one problem fixed another shows it’s face!

Ok so update on this
I have replaced thermostat, temp sensor (again) new radiator fit and system flushed.
She now doesn’t over heat and bubble at expansion tank

Fan still doesn’t come on through standard spec
And I narrowed it down to the actual feed cable to the fan
So somewhere in the loom it’s damaged

I have opted for a stand alone digital temp sensor fitted on top radiator pipe to switch fan on and off and disconnected old

This has completely sorted the over heating issue and the mini ran for a good 20mins and then stopped and won’t start again
The fuel pump is not priming now

Fuse ok
No power at inertia switch
I am currently working back until I get power
And cleaning up the earths on mini as the earth argument behind the expansion tank was crazy dirty in terminals
Can any one tell me if that earth had anything todo with the immobiliser? As I’m starting to think that might be my issue, the relay pack for fuel pump isn’t clicking like it used to

One question I wanted to know is can I put my fuel pump on a override switch or will this mess with the ecu in some way?

Sorted this now guys!

was actually a combination of two issues
Fuse was ok but turned out one of the terminals had grime on it so wasn’t making proper contact
Also changed fob Battery and reset immobiliser

All working fine now just have the gear selector seal to change and run brake lines
