I'm running 'S' brakes 7.5.
What brake pads would people recommend for road rally and road use?
I've previously ran mintex m1144 pads on a modern rally car and they worked well. Are these available for the mini, or would you suggest anything else?
Thanks.

Yep, I use the carbon metallic ones and would recommend them.

We are playing around with pads on the race cars at the minute.
Temperature tabs on calipers and temp paint on discs.
It's critical to use pads of the right operating temp range.
On some pads we are running caliper shrouds to stop them 'over cooling'

Also running std disc shrouds at some circuits.

As above, the Carbon-Metallic pads as supplied by Mini Spares are, quite simply, the very best.

We use them on circuit and tarmac rally events. Would never use them on a forrest stage car or road. They need to operate in 475°/550° range. In the woods and on the road they don't get up to that.

I use the C-M pads on my rally  'S' and they are fine both on tarmac and gravel sections. They are OK on the road and are much better in terms of overall then the old and super Ferodo DS11 (with the asbestos).

They are simply the best available.
