Who did you have in mind Nicklouse? I asked the question on here a while back (Yorkshire Bodyshops/restorers) but drew a blank. I've already sent the car to a local place, but would be interested to hear who you recommend.

i have none in mind as i have not lived in the county for 17ish years.  but i knew of many that i had visited and friends have used.in Huddersfield and between York and Harrogate.

For all the same reasons! I would give Ben a vote , more locally you could try Edd  at

Little Garage Classics in Halifax, I know he does a fair bit with Minis, haven't  used him

or anybody else, there are a few others about,

The work on my Mini by the Whight brothers in Northamptonshire has earned many favourable comments. They are Mini enthusiasts who give great attention to correct detailing.

I'll jump in with another vote for Ben, although the journey for you will considerable.

He did a full restoration on my son's mini

Steve at Sleaford Mini Centre. He did a great job with my car, rectifying previous poor work and then finishing the car.

Thanks to those who recommended me. :-)

I would be happy to give a quote for the work. My e-mail address is [email protected] if you wanted to send over some photos and a list of what you want doing.

Cheers

Ben

Not used them myself but I read good things about the Real Mini Company who are based in South Oxfordshire.

Still not close to you might be worth contacting them for a quote...

I had (deep breath) front panel, wings, scuttle, inner cills, outer cills, door skins, rear valance replaced along with repairs to the 3/4 panels. Full paint, electrical gremlins sorted, stage one kit, new radius arm by http://www.covics.co.uk/

They've had quite a few cars featured in mini magazine and I'm very happy with the work done on my car. It'll be going back soon to have the engine bay tidied up.
