anyone got details on a site that gives info on compact silencers

I got some speed bumps that are quite high & small radius , at work & they are killing my exhaust

Ive got the body adjusted as high as I want to go - still hits the front of the can (skid plated the front as well)

even motorbike silencer (disc type , but enclosed) would be something https://www.summitra...-1705/overview/

it's a 998 side exit before the back wheel - so the can is in tunnel (cannot exit behind wheel due to configuration)

got tonnes of welding / folding equipment at work - just need ideas for something compact

using a standard pee shooter can at the moment

anyone know a way of putting a motorbike disc type into a small can

Everyone who has ever built a rally Mini has thought about this.

I have never found a solution which is quiet enough and I use a skidded Maniflow rear box with a Cherry Bomb in between that and the LCB.

My suspension ride height is about 1/4" higher than standard and I can still hit some of those really aggressive speed humps - bloody things!

Why not just have a single box rc40 system or similar with no middle box? Only thing that might scrape then is the y piece

what annoys me is the car is already seems higher than normal

I wasn't after the low ride look

just normal usable mini

thanks for all the reply's

pot holes are bad enough - without the stupid 'traffic calming'

looks like skid plates & sacrificial plates it is - may put blades on them to wear the speed hump down

Defiantly non standard - quite good despite the look of it

exiting on the o/s just in front of rear wheel

it is tight to the inner tunnel / close to the gear selector

the car has a fuel tank in the rear subframe space where the rear box would fit - hence the problem

had a pic - but can't remember how to get it in media folder

anyway back to work - thanks for replys

998's are about 10mm shorter than 1275's perhaps you could gain a little bit there if it's a generic exhaust manifold. You might be already, but going over bumps at an angle helps. Also being on your brakes as hit the bump and accelerating on the way off - if the bump's wide enough.

so then you want to have the silencer in the tunnel and have the exit flat across the floor and curling round the sill finishing in a nice rounded oblong. similar to the old Fords.
