With the lack of dash real estate (Japanese SPi with air con), I had to get creative about where and how to house my Cooper gauges. It was a VERY intensive exercise but Im really happy with the factory finish look!

Looks great. Did you get it here:

I too have a Japan spec but mine has the other 3 clock dash. I've been considering getting one of these.

These are on eBay too aren't they? Was tempted as need to fit a few more gauges to mine!

That's the one! I purchased it from his eBay store. Arrived 3 weeks later than scheduled. Terrible communication and the part didn't fit at all. I wouldn't buy direct from him without paypal's protection for any reason.

It would be nice if he offset the gauges to the left, so they line up with the existing gauges.

Depending on how badly the dash top is made, you may end up with just that. Or the other direction if your luck is bad ;)

Oh dear. That bad was it? How did you get it to fit? C'mon man, share your pain.

They seem to sell on ebay USA, Australia, France, Spain, Hong Kong all from Upminster, but not Ebay UK.

That is a great looking dash upgrade.  Sorry to hear it was not as trouble free as you were hoping.  Nice work!

The vents didn't fit and had to be shaved for starters. Just a really poor fabrication really. Russ at Croydon Minis was my rather expensive solution :)
