Hi all,hoping this is an obvious problem someone will know .I have a 12g940 11 stud head that is blowing gas through one of the stud holes left side in between the thermostat and rocker cover .I think the block is a 998 rebored to 1380 had it about five years but very sketchy on the exact spec. Also if new head needed can anyone advise on one that should fit please,many thanks ,dean

sounds like the head gasket has gone. change it.

 

PS i could not have been a 998 originally if it is now a 1380. it would have been a 1275 originally.

Thanks for the info ,changed the head gasket about three years ago bit of a pain to do but at least it's something I can do .I measured the bores then and they were 73.5mm does that add up to being 1380 (not really technically minded),thanks again
