I seem to having an issue with the headlights on my 1972 Mini 1000

it originally started with the Drivers side headlight not working..

The bulb is ok, and I checked out the bullet connections under the grille and found a few of the double female connectors to be  corroded.

I have  since replaced them but I am having the same problem, I changed the loom to a newby and still no Joy.

the parkers don't work either, however if I switch to High beam both high  beams work

So what I have is no parkers both sides, headlight only passenger side.

I have buzzed out the connections, including the earths with a Meter and everything seems to be ok.

I am now totally lost and have given up. has anyone got any tips re this issue , and or know of a Mini  friendly electrical centres in the west London area..

Thanks in advance

Kevin

i see no mention of actually checking for 12V any where. work you way back till you find the 12V.

I will double check the 12v outputs again behind the grill, but if I am getting high beam to work on all, then that eliminates the green and white wire behind the grill as the fault and the same for the Green and red If I am getting normal beam on the passenger side. would I be right in saying that both headlights share the same 12 Volts?  it just seems confusing as the volts are there

I have just noticed that the tail lights are not working either

Head light switch is a favourite, bottom fuse holder/wires/terminals corroded could be the issue with the parking lights, do the binnacle lights work?

Good News.  managed to resolve the issue

I replaced the Light Switch, the Terminal connectors on the Fuse box and the headlights started to work

however I still didn't have rear lights, Parkers and Binnacle lights.

Looking through other posts online I found an inline fuse near the washer bottle that was also blown, replaced and now everything works.

One thing I also did was replace the Halogen Headlight bulbs for less power drawing bulbs in case that was the problem.

Thanks everyone for your assistance...
