Hi, I'm looking into getting a roll over spit but was wondering what height I would need in the garage for one?

It really depends on the jig, the one I have only holds the shell a few inches off the floor when at 90 degrees, so as long as I could stand up in the garage there was loads of room.

Been and measured mine.

to the centre of the jig rotation is 950mm from the floor

When the car is rotated 90 degrees the top of the sill is 1580mm from the floor

When I made my one I mounted the horizontal pole through the body then measured out to the furthest point on the body at 90deg to the pole, think it ended up being the sills. I think I added about 200mm or so to this measurement. This was the height that I made the two A frames that the horizontal pole was mounted. This same distance that the furthest point on the body is from the horizontal pole is then used to measure vertically up from the top of the A frame to see what the maximum height that the body will be when it's being rotated, you can then adjust the height of the A frame to make sure everything works for whatever height your garage roof is.
