Last year I completed in the NI Autotest Championship in my Mini 1000 retrospective rally car. I've been autotesting at Clubman level for a number of years but decided to give the championship a go last year for the experience but got hooked on it. Very happy to have finished 3rd in class with the most underpowered car in the championship and 12th overall.

Here is a video of the mighty "Cream Cracker" in action on the Dungannon Motor Club event at Loughry College in Cookstown Co Tyrone.

Well done! Looks like good fun too.

My only experience of autotests was my dad doing them on caravan club events (with caravan). I remember my mum winning the ladies event..... as she was the only one who entered.

Thanks. Autotesting is a great skill set and definately helps with car control even for the road. Plus trying to remember the test diagrams is good for the old noggin' lol

The autotesting scene in Northern Ireland is probably one of the biggest in the world as it was here that it all really started (Russ Swift actually came to Northern Ireland to learn from the various experts here to help him with his stunt driving displays), and every year there is a competition between NI, Republic of Ireland, England and Scotland. Have to be bit boastful here - NI have won it A LOT!  ;D

Would be a lot of fun with the caravan attached - have to suggest that to the championship organisers lol
