I finally got my mini on the road! I've never driven one before so I'm just looking for some advice on what is 'normal' in terms of suspension noises. There seems to be a slight metallic rattling noise from the fronts when I go over bigger bumps in the road... Is this normal? If it isn't normal what could be causing this? (Car is running on standard rubber cones and trumpets)

Sadly not, I'm the only person around who has one. It sounds almost like something is loose, but I've checked all the bolts and it's all nice and tight.

Check the exhaust bracket, also check the tie rod mounts and the engine steady mount incase they've broke off.

Will do, could ball joints make a rattle too?

Thanks, I'll give everything a check over and hope nothing falls off in the meantime...

It should be ok, just make sure you check they're right locked
