Hi,  in the forum members opinion who currently produces the best modified cylinder head suitable for a fast road 998cc normally aspirated engine, using twin 1 1/4 SU,s, a full Maniflo exhaust and a 731 camshaft, or are there any of the "old school" Janspeed etc heads around that are serviceable and not past their best?.

the problem is you need to make sure it is suitable  and have it machined accordingly.

 

what cam? What CR is needed? which will give you how many CCs you need in the head. as to the porting not much has changed there but I understand chamber shaping has changed slightly.

 

so an off the shelf will most likely need work. a "used" one will need checking over and accessing before anything is done.

Id agree with Nicklouse, as for someone to do the work try Turbo Phil on here

Neal on the forum here done mine it's realy good very quick and only mg metro cam
