Has any one sorted out a "GOOD" handbrake, (for handbrake turns) with a Cooper "S" rear brake conversion?

You may all shout at once.

What is a Cooper S rear brake conversion?
Other than a space red drum, the Cooper S used the same configuration of rear brakes of every other Mini, the only difference being the wheel cylinder size and regulator valve spring strength - neither of which affect the handbrake.

Oh dear. Having edited my post,  I read what I meant to say, not what I actually wrote.

It should read  .....................  With Cooper "S"  disc  rear brake mid-engine conversion.

I think there’ll be very limited people that have done such a conversion to be able to advise.
There is no simple way of adding a handbrake to Cooper S discs - if you need discs then I’d be looking at a KAD conversion.

i would fit a hydro handbrake is it is just for HBturns and leave whatever Mech setup you have for legalities.

If I upgrade to "S" discs instead of single leading shoe, modified to take the rear mini hand brake, there is no "Mech setup".

I would get onto the GTMOwners forum there have been loads of solutions created for them. You WILL need a mech solution to be legal.
