Im running a basic A+ 998 and considering doing a top overhaul. Not sure if I need to put unleaded valve seats in or not, but I might just change the valve seats and valves if I go ahead.

 

That said, is it possible to buy valves chamfered  as how David Vizard says to do it? would be a lot easier than getting regular valves and trying to find a place that can cut them accordingliy

Multi-angle valve cuts are pretty easily performed by any machine shop. If you're referring to the valves designed to prevent reversion, I doubt they'd be of significant enough benefit for the road unless you're running a cam of 286 or higher duraiton.

I presume you're referring to putting a 30degree back cut on an otherwise standard valve ? I can do this for you at £2.50 a valve. Though it looks like you're abroad. Anybody with access to a lathe will be able to do it for you. For the minimal work involved this is one of the most cost effective modifications you can do, deshrouding the chambers would be very worthwhile to.

If it does not have unleaded valve seats already in it, you should have them installed while you are having the head overhauled. They are harder seats designed to prevent the wear that lead was put into fuel to prevent.

Yup, referring to this where the valve is cut to 30 and 45 degrees (3 angle valve).

 

I assume the valve seats also need to be cut accordingly? If Im changing the valves I might as well put in unleaded valve seats (not sure if my engine is unleaded or not)

I assume this work is needed for both intake and exhaust valves?
