I have the pink/white wire on my brand new loom which is the same as was on my old loom.
I have read kernowcoopers guide stating that it should be removed as it can cause the loom to melt. Is this still the case even with it being a new loom or is this only if loom is old?
Also if it does need to be changed to non ballast, does the whole wire need to be traced back and removed from loom or just disconnected from the coil and then follow kernows instruction about the white wire.
Thanks

You need to replace the ballast wire with a white 12v wire, it splices into the white wires near the fusebox

Yes, I was going to put the white wire from fuse 1 as per instructions but wasn’t sure if the pink and white wire needed to be completely removed from the loom or just disconnected from coil. Don’t fancy cutting my new loom up to trace the wire back.

Just terminate it safely and tape it up.

Depending on the connections at the fusebox end you can get away with using piggy back spades and soldering them together so the connection is solid
