It won’t be much weight gained but will make the drive shafts equal length which would help with the torque steer
There's a few different views on this and frankly, in a Mini, I'm of the view that drive shaft lengths don't come in to play here.

As far as the torque steer goes have you ever had the car setup by someone that really know Mini suspension? You can bolt on all the fancy parts you want but if they’re not setup properly they’re worth nought.

will do nothing for torque steer. never had any issues. you are trying to fix something you will not have.
never had torque steer in this when on 6X10s or 9x13s would happily spin the wheels in first-second and some times third. and went in a straight line. you do not need equal length drive shafts. the length aint the issue.
