I'd suggest plotting out on paper the curve for the 998 Cooper Engine and then finding a curve in the 123 that comes close as a starting point, though, you might struggle to find one that is close.
<I've just had a look, I'd suggest starting off with Curve 5, then try 6, then 9 and possibly A. Listen for Pinging (pinking) around 2700 - 3500 RPMs at each curve change. >
