DVLA publishes statistics of vehicle registrations - you'll be able to find details on how many mini's from a certain year are still registered, but not sure if the details they hold will go into much detail in terms of model specifics

What constitutes a "stripey?"

1976 1000 Special LE ‘Stripey’
The first, of the limited-edition Minis, with its reclining front seats, twin doors mirrors, striped cloth upholstery (of course) and fresh air vents. The paint finish was the Brooklands Green usually seen on the MGB. Some of these special features would subsequently appear on the 1978 Series IV models while the ‘Stripey’ is now one of the rarest of all Minis."

Or Glacier White http://www.theminifo...le#entry2948576

This might be the one Mini Stripey now owns.

Thanks! And here I thought it was the two pin stripes running down the side.
