they are the type as fitted to Drum braked Minis. yes they would fit your discs as they are the same size. but dont bother buy some Timken Taper roller bearings from Minispares.

Are you saying we can use standard roller bearings instead of tapered bearings ?

If so, whats the difference ? why are tapered recommended ?

the dimensions of the ball bearings and the taper rollers are the same. so you could upgrade your drum braked wheels to taper roller bearings for longer life.

loger lasting and manage the loads way better. ball bearings were fitted as a cost cutting measure.

In Minis, they only ever fitted the tapers to the disc brake assemblies, or put another way, the only ever fitted the balls to Drum brakes.

Strictly speaking as this was how the assemblies were designed and manufactured, the fitting of ball bearings to disc hubs isn't legal, though, I doubt anyone would check and I even more doubt any one would get chipped for it. Here in Aust, in later Moke production, on the drum brake models, they did switch from balls to tapers for longer life.

I just can't see the point in fitting ball bearings in the hubs.
