Hi i have a 1988 Mini 1000, with discs and 12" wheels.

I have since bought the kit to convert to 10" wheels

, my problem is when i put the hub and disc on the end of the drive shaft (outer end) the disc hits the hub carrier!!??!!

ive compared the 12" to the 10" hub carrier and the 12" carrier has about 2-3 mm more meat on it compared to the new 10" disc, i guess i could get a spacer made, any ideas????? i thought it was a simple swap over, bugger, thanks in advance

Are you using the plastic spacer ring/dust shield on the inner bearing face?

Is the CV joint nut torqued fully?

What 10" wheel disc brake setup are you trying to fit?
7.5" cooper S solid disc with drive flange that is attached with 4 philips screws should fit with no modification.
If you're trying to fit 7.5" or 7.9" modified metro solid or vented discs with mini drive flanges and 4 pot calipers then there's some machining operations required.

ill get some photos up lads probably easier, there the 7.5" ones from , i think Mini spares, non vented, its ok pushing the shaft into the hub carrier, its when you slide the disc on it touches the carrier,

Photos!!!

really want to get this sorted this weekend n get the mighty 1000cc lump in.

Put the Phillips Screws in to the Dive Flange to pull the Disc up, then they should fit OK.

Or, temporarily fit 2 wheel nuts reversed & do them up, to do the same.
