As per title, have you fitted electric windows or central locking?

Have you fitted door speakers?

How have you protected the wiring?

I’ve looked at rubber boots from a few different cars but can’t find a decent solution.

But they only carry 2 wires.

You're going to have 6 going to the drivers door

My Son and myself did this on his Mini, it was a bit of a job but 100% 'could have been Factory' appearance when done and worked really well.

With Mini Doors, when closed, there's very little space at all between the door frame and the body of the car to safely put any wires.

After spending some time at a local breakers, we found that the Toyota Corrola (i think around 1990 model off hand?) boots were the likely ticket.

We cut and welded in a pocket in to the front end of the door frame for the boot to tuck in to when the door was closed and it also put a small angle for the boot to enter the door with.

Apologies for this photo, I'm sure I have some better ones elsewhere, including the pocket;-

A pair of Vw Corrado tailgate grommets fitted a treat when I fitted electric windows and central locking to one of my minis.

Hi,

My thoughts were that wires between the door and body shell always break at some point due to the bending back and forth. It happens to all manufacturers, both doors and tailgates. So I think the MK1 idea would be easier to repair.

Also it will depend on what interior style you're going for and how much you want to spend.

Cheers  :proud:
