I was looking for these the other day as the new lucas coil I bought had them on but was made of tin foil.  I ended up taking one off an old coil.

I found these http://www.vehicle-w...-blade-3-into-1 which could be easily modified to suit.

Hi,
I saw those too but was concerned about the amount of metal left around the hole after it was drilled out?
Cheers :)

Maybe if you contact Lucas direct they must still make them, if you look closely at this items picture there is one there.

We're all getting close,,,,,,

I've found these;-

http://www.te.com/us...t-152422-1.html

however, someone is doing those PC board types that Nick pointed out that's on our Voltage Stabalisers. Who makes them?  I know they come from Smiths, but do they actually make them?

I’ve just made a makedo connection using an eyelet terminal, wiring and spade terminal.

But I did find this: https://m.ebay.co.uk...epid=1113778425

Although, it doesn’t look like they sell the terminal seperatley :/

You guys came closer than I did!

Standard pack size 10000, They'd think it's odd loads of 'mini companies' requesting samples of them

Well, at least we can say we found them!... (well, the female spade is the wrong way round, but it would still work!)

Getting our hands on them might be a different story though!

Thread revival on the back of my recent thread on Coils.

Our Cars made in Aust had these Female Terminals fitted to the Coils one Terminal so that the connections can't be mucked up. I'd like to retain this approach as most of my cars have Electronic Ignitions and reversing the connections on those would be disastrous. Many of the Mokes I've put together for my friends are the same and it does 'worry' me that they accidentally reverse the connection at some point and this is a simple means of stopping that.

I have follow up with TE (from my own posting ^) and like anything I've found in trying to communicate with them,,, runs in to a dead end

I almost had some joy with these guys, I'd been following up with them over about 8 months but eventually they would only do a 10 000 unit run and were quoting crazy money for freight, enough to buy a Mini with !  Buying a 1000 doesn't bother me, not that I need 1000 of them but the overall price on that quantity is usually manageable.

So much for what I have been doing and the history here.

Anyone else got any leads or ideas for a supplier of this type of Terminal ?  (pic from TE's webpage)

If you lived in the "outback" your grandma would have shown you how to solder one up.

The other approach would be make up short leads with ring terminals on one end and either male or female Lucar connectors on the other.
I’ve taken this one step further on my rally car and use a waterproof plug & socket.

I've had to do this on one of my cars as I'd misplaced the spade connector. It's an easy connection to make, I made a spare too so if one breaks theres a replacement.

It doesn't look standard but does the job well

I have one exactly as pictured and another that could be made to fit. Send me an email with address information and I’ll send them along.
