I remember reading about the NJC Mini conversion (similar to Wood & Pickett style at the time) in 'Custom Car' magazine back in the late 1970's......Minis were out of favour amongst the Custom car era fans at the time, the scanned article is shown above (many thanks to Surfblue63 of Mk1 Forum for suppying the original scan copy).

 

This surviving 1976 1275 GT NJC Mini Clubman below (currently listed on ebay) apparently belonged to Pete Kate the owner of Tate & Lyle sugar, now a very rare example of this 1970's coachbuilt Mini it has air conditioning, speakers in the headrests, electric windows, electric mirrors and an electric sunroof. There were three of these built and this is thought to be the only one left.
