MINI MEETING GOES GLOBAL
The International Mini meeting (IMM) in Bristol next August looks set to truly live up to its name, with representatives from a whopping 32 different countries among those who have already bought tickets. The event has also attracted three ‘gold’ sponsors, with British Motor Heritage joining the ranks along with parts specialists Mini Spares and Mini Sport.
The IMM is a weekend event that only visits the UK every five years, and in 2019 will coincide with the Mini’s 60th birthday celebrations. It will run from August 8-12, with a huge birthday party taking place on Sunday August 11, when the show will take on a slightly different format and day visitors will be allowed.

It doesn't mention how much it might cost, if it rains, to get towed out.

A bit steep!!  shame  that it probably wouldn't be solely for mini's 59-2000. I was contemplating taking my 71 Clubman  but cba if I'm honest, no doubt those super size BMW MINI CLUBMAN tanks  etc will be there  along side the classics like every other show that at seems to take place.  its like me turning up in my 03 fiesta and expecting to be included to show my car with the mini's [it has no place there]

It should be noted that day tickets for Sunday August 11th will be a similar price to other Mini shows based on previous UK IMM events. Anyone who has been involved in planning and organising a large event over several days like this....which includes securing a suitable venue, camping, toilets/showers, parking, marquee hire, day/evening entertainment, food, bars, health and safety rules, public liability insurance, 24/7 marshals, during & after rubbish collection, advance & day ticket sales, trade sponsors, stands, etc will know it is no easy task and involves lots of time, worry and often a financial risk for the host Mini club. This does not come cheap for the larger scale UK IMM every 5 years and few of the club officials that have volunteered for the job in the past would ever wish to do it again! (Ask the Mini Cooper Register)......think about it and maybe £80 does not seem so steep when compared with the going rate for many weekend 'Festival' tickets.

Note: IMM ticket prices will increase at the end of May 2019 and will no longer include the goody bag, T shirt and food vouchers.

I am sure your 03 Fiesta will be welcome at most Ford Fiesta enthusiast events without enthusiasts of earlier generation Mk1/2/etc, Fiestas turning you away......like it or not the Mk1 R50 MINI was designed and engineered by Rover as the next generation of the Mini and development of the modern MINI was funded and has long since been continued by BMW (who also stopped Rover ending Mini production in 1996 and developed the 1997-2000 MPi Mini). Many Mini events like Beaulieu now rely on the modern MINI attendance to maintain sufficient ticket sales through the gate so that these large events can continue for the classic Mini, especially since the daily driver contingent of classic Mini owners started to decline soon after production ended.

"IMM Bristol is a 5 day festival style 1980s themed event for all ages, and welcomes both classic minis and new MINIs as well as their derivatives."

admittedly mine may be there if I can't get one of my older ones on the road by then. Plenty of boot space though to take home lots of parts!:)

Hi, Unless the IMM format has changed most people just sit around eat drink and socialise, some clubs set up areas to be together.  no shine and show,  The imm in poland was fun the car of the show was one with a bouncy castle on its roof.  There is a cardboard cup for the car that drove the furthest..portuguese normally win that one. ... Say hi if you see us Blue Mini 40 maybe in the mini-list area, John  & yvonne

Can you get Day tickets? I can’t see anything on their website.

£80 is the weekend ticket... and word of warning, from 31st May the price increases to £100 with no goodie bag
