Good luck, Marc, you will find all the bodges of every previous owner, but keep chipping through.
I hate doing the boot repair panels
Yeah the over sill issue is nothing I am not used to sorting out, but its eaten the floor far worse than I have every seen and really don't want a patch work car, so full floor its the ticket, regarding the boot floor that is already here for the same reason, this car means a lot to us so want it to right as we never intend to sell..

I think we've all swept our minis up at some point, full boot floor isn't too hard to do
haha I spend my life sweeping up rust.. I hope it wont be to hard when the new main floors arrive I am hoping it will all line up nicely. well thats the plan the metal for the bracing should be here next week then we can get chopping.. and welding and thinking of some fresh metal..

Update time we have some fresh steel now and its time to get these door steps and areas sorted so the the floor can be cut out after.
So began to cut the area out trying to watch out for the wiring loom and ended up nicking it. ffs! That will get repaired by my Mrs (Gary's owner)
Then mocked some new Steel up to make us feel better haha, loads more trimming and cutting to do before this lot can go in...

I am also undergoing a restoration of a mini for my partner, so will follow this thread to get pointers and to watch progress as said by yeti above it’s nice to watch a restoration thread through the stages to the final article.
Like the bracing idea also so will be copying that idea I reckon as got 2 halves of the floor to do aswell as a poets steps etc

Looking good!! Keep it up, i love watching a mini go from rust to restoration.
Thanks I love watching them to, so lets hope I can actually do this mini some justice it means a lot to my other half as she learnt to drive in it and we meet a mini club with both our minis...

Thanks I hope that our thread can be of some help. Do you have a thread of your Partners mini that your doing?
The bracing is actually a mix of some ideas off here, it seemed to work very well for them so hope it will work the same for us as well the want to cut for floor out is massive but plan to sort the door steps and A posts out before all that can happen so the floor has a solid base to weld to..

Yes it’s always useful looking at others threads for ideas etc or just as a reference and I hope that likewise mine may help someone else out in the future. I’m going to tackle the toebord aswell so the floor has a good base all round.
How are you tackling your floor I’ve opted for two halves.

Yes it defiantly is helpful.
No we are going for a full complete heritage floor one big bit, this mini has so many issues with the heel board over sills etc we just want it all nice and square again so that's the plan.
