Thanks for the reply. The upgrade wasn't a kit as such, but similar; exhaust, manifold and air filter. Go to the full post

Hello All,
My son and I have been restoring a 1987 998cc Mini Mayfair. It's just past it's MOT, but it struggles to rev. We have fitted a tubular manifold and sports exhaust. Should I change the needle in the carb? If so is it trial and error choosing a needle or can someone recommend one?
Thanks,
Matthew.

Was it a stage one kit? You'll need an AAU needle
