The Arm, Thrust face to Thrust Face should measure 4.500". The Pin, Shoulder to Shoulder should measure 4.502".
Any chance of posting pics of the thrust faces of the arm?

If you dry build it out of the frame, how much play is there?

Either the thrust plate isn’t seating the thicker washer properly, the 11/16” nuts aren’t tightening up fully or your measurements are off.

Everything was done up tight. I will build it up outside of the frame tomorrow and see. Hold it in the vice and take another video.

This is the arm shaft done up tight not in the frame. Still exactly the same amount of play.

Thanks for these measurements. The new arm is 4.5” dead. The shaft suppplied was too long so I’ve turned the shoulder down to 4.502”. Assembled it all back together off of the car and the fit is lovely on it. No play but not locked up hard.

Is this the WHOLE arm moving left to right, between the thrust washers, or play between the axe and the arm / bearings ?
With the arm held in a vice and the axe slid through the bearings, can you wobble the axe while holding it at each end ? It shouldn't move.
If by removing a bit of metal you have just squeezed the thrust washers onto the sides of the arms to make it all tight, then it won't last a week.

There Isn’t any play that you can feel with the shaft in the bearings. It’s the arm going backwards and forwards

OK. That's good then. My TF front arms wobble and on the actual axe.

What's the Bearing Number of the bearings used in the TF Arms?

Mine are original on my TF and have always knocked. I bought a few kits from mike satur a couple of years ago and they were even worse when I changed a friends TF with one of the kits.

OK Cheers Pete and yes, I do recall them all using the same kits.
Check the OD of the shafts, they should be 0.7495 - 0.750" dia.
There were some rubbish kits getting about a few years back.
