HI

My motor destroyed itself and I bought a NOS mpi motor from Minispares and have had my mate transferring bits over for the new engine.

I need to remove the threaded shaft in the block that the oil filter screws to and put on my new block.

How is it removed?

Hasn't been attempted yet as I don't want to damage the thread using multigrips or the like as I dont know how tight it is, or if locktite has been used or anything.

I could bolt 2 nuts on it and remove it that way, but not sure of the thread.

* How it it removed? and
* What thread is it?

Thankyou Brenton

Not sure on the thread (could be 5/8 UNF) but you will be very lucky to have or buy nuts to fit

Be a lot less hassle to buy the part CAM5331

Thanks people for their input.

I wouls just buy one, except Im in Australia and would mean buying it then paying more than its worth in postage and then waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive.

I will tell my mechanic mate it should just unscrew and will also tell him the thread.

Thankyou
